Deltapath Mobile: UX/UI Transformation & Brand Integration

When Deltapath's unified communications platform evolved from frSIP to Deltapath Mobile, the rebrand brought more than just a new name—it introduced a refined brand philosophy centered on seamless human connection. The new abstract lotus flower logo, formed by intersecting U and C letterforms, symbolized the elegant simplicity of bringing people together through technology.

This visual identity shift demanded a comprehensive user experience overhaul to align the application's functionality with its elevated brand promise. Working closely with the engineering team, I led the complete UX/UI redesign, reimagining core user flows to embody the brand's commitment to intuitive communication. Key innovations included streamlining the virtual meeting scheduling process and introducing QR code functionality that eliminated friction in meeting access—allowing users to join calls instantly by scanning codes directly from the login screen.

The transformation extended beyond functionality to encompass the entire visual ecosystem, including custom iconography design and intuitive menu architecture that reinforced the brand's core values of simplicity and connectivity.

The Challenge

Deltapath's unified communications platform was undergoing a complete brand transformation from frSIP to Deltapath Mobile, complete with new visual identity and brand philosophy centered on seamless human connection. The existing app's user experience and interface no longer aligned with the elevated brand promise, creating a disconnect between the sophisticated new identity and the outdated user journey. We needed to redesign core functionality to match the brand's commitment to intuitive communication while maintaining technical feasibility and user adoption.

The Strategy

Collaborating closely with the engineering team, I developed a comprehensive UX/UI redesign strategy that would embody the new brand values through every user interaction. The approach focused on eliminating friction points in critical user flows, particularly around meeting scheduling and access. I introduced innovative solutions like QR code meeting entry to simplify the connection process, while redesigning the entire visual ecosystem—from custom iconography to menu architecture—to create a cohesive experience that reinforced the brand's core message of effortless connectivity.

The Outcome

The redesigned Deltapath Mobile successfully bridged the gap between brand identity and user experience, delivering a cohesive platform that truly embodied the company's vision of simplified communication. The streamlined meeting workflows and innovative QR code functionality significantly reduced user friction, while the comprehensive visual redesign created a premium feel that elevated the brand's market position. The QR login feature was successfully tested and showcased at multiple company events and product demos, validating its effectiveness in real-world scenarios. The collaborative approach with engineering ensured seamless implementation and optimal performance across all app features.

Phase 1 — Recieve and review project brief

Conducted comprehensive stakeholder sessions to align on project objectives and understand the new brand identity's implications for user experience design. Analyzed the transition from frSIP to Deltapath Mobile, establishing how the abstract lotus flower logo and brand philosophy of seamless connection would translate into functional design decisions and user interface elements.

Phase 2 — User Research & Innovation Conceptualization

Developed detailed user personas and mapped existing user flows to identify friction points in the current meeting experience. Researched and pitched the innovative QR code meeting access solution as a way to eliminate traditional login barriers, presenting this concept to stakeholders as a differentiating feature that would embody the brand's promise of effortless connectivity.

Phase 3 — Design Development & User Experience Architecture

Created comprehensive wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for the redesigned virtual meeting setup flow, ensuring intuitive navigation and seamless user journeys. Developed detailed interaction specifications and visual designs that balanced the new brand aesthetic with functional usability requirements, preparing thorough documentation for engineering handoff.

Phase 4 — Collaborative Engineering Implementation

Partnered closely with the development team throughout the implementation phase, providing design guidance and iterating on solutions to ensure optimal user experience within technical constraints.

Phase 5 — Market Validation & Strategic Launch

Successfully launched the redesigned application through strategic debuts at company events, customer sales meetings, and major conference presentations. The QR code feature and streamlined user experience were showcased as key differentiators, receiving positive market feedback and validating the design decisions through real-world user interactions and stakeholder presentations.

"The most rewarding aspect was seeing our design decisions validated in real-time at industry events, where the streamlined experience became our strongest sales tool."
